Does DateMatch.com Comes With a Catch? Beware the False Online Profiles

For sure it sucks spending a sexless Valentine night. Even if you are not the romantic type or looking for a romantic date but just want some good old-fashioned casual sex the thought of spending the night alone while all those couples are banging is not a thrill. DateMatch.com seems to specialize in casual dates for the Valentine date or for the days around the holiday. Hey, why not, I say, when you can leave it all within the boundaries of no commitment? However, the oh-so-catering service turns into a dating nightmare when you dig a bit in the fraudulent workings.

Authenticity

Let’s see if the ladies will find their sexy prince charming or the hot girl of the guys’ sex dreams is just around the corner of the registration page. Unfortunately, my suspicions about DateMatch.com turned out correct – it is a completely false site, one of those working with the fabricated profiles called Online Cupids, whose task is to entertain, monitor and imitate sexy chats which are automated, unreal and with no chances of finishing up in a real date. You must be careful with your subscription, your privacy and your pics – let’s take a tour on Date Match.com and find out why is this so.

Why is DateMatch.com a False Dating Website

Look at all the tricks that I have discovered on DateMatch.com one by one.

  • You pay not only the basic but also the additional technical and administrative charges for the site.

You know that when you subscribe to a service, you get a clear overview of the costs that are going to occur on your monthly card statement. But you are also aware that in the Internet business when there are currency exchange, multiple multinational companies, and several across-the-border transactions involved, you cannot be sure what you will be paying for. A good provider will give a clear overview and explain the charges step-by-step. However, DateMatch.com does not care about explaining that but puts the payment burden of this additional fees on your behalf.

Here is what else may be included in the possible costs presented in a screenshot from the site provisions:

  • Whatever you share on DateMatch.com is in the public domain and you can’t revoke your rights to that content.

Although you are probably aware that anyone can get a profile on the site and get to your data, you expect at least a little privacy in terms of placing discreet filters, applying some security mechanisms or monitoring the site content:

Date Match public information

But that is not so, and here is what you agree on when you register on DateMatch.com:

  • You grant a permission to the company to do whatever it wants with your data and images.

The right includes the following, as quoted on the site:

#1

Reproduce, transmit, communicate, display, or distribute your submitted photographs, on or as part of our sites, on other Internet sites, or elsewhere, for promotional or commercial purposes, by means of any technology, whether now known or hereafter to become known.”

#2

Reproduce your pictures in digital form of display on the Internet (alone or in combination with other works, including, but not limited to, text, data, images, photographs, illustrations, animation, graphics, video, or audio segments, and hypertext links.

#3

Adapt, modify, or alter your photographs or otherwise create derivative works based upon your photographs; and for all other reasonable promotional or commercial uses either as part of the operation of our sites or as a promotion or operation of any derivative or related businesses.

  • The membership on DateMatch.com is not free.

Although the site claims free membership. only the so-called basic members that can not do anything critical bet for free, but that is why they have their hands tied. The paid options include 3 Month Membership and 1 Month Membership of unlimited paid access.

  • Your subscription is subject to automatic renewals.

Automatic renewals are performed on the basis of the period of length and not on the basis of the original subscription fee – so, even if the subscription was 30 dollars for one month, if you renew it later when the costs get higher, you are still agreeing to the price. Remember – the duration is critical. To me, this looks like an awful place to subscribe to!

YOU ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE THAT YOUR PAYMENT METHOD WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY CHARGED FOR SUCH MEMBERSHIP FEES, PLUS ANY APPLICABLE TAXES, UPON EACH SUCH AUTO RENEWAL. YOU CONSENT TO AND ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY FOR ALL RECURRING CHARGES TO YOUR CREDIT OR DEBIT CARD (OR OTHER PAYMENT METHOD, AS APPLICABLE) BASED ON THIS AUTOMATIC RENEWAL FEATURE WITHOUT FURTHER AUTHORIZATION FROM YOU“.

Price Tag

  • $1.95 for a three-day trial subscription renewing at $29.95 every month.
  • $69.95 for a 6-month subscription.
  • $49.95 for a 3-month subscription.
  • $29.95 for a 1-month subscription

Busted or Trusted

I wouldn’t go near DateMatch.com and I suggest that you keep your hands off of it. That is the best way to stay safe from any unforeseen costs, privacy infringement or compromising photos. The other route is a risky business and if you decide to take it regardless of the warnings, you may end up in place you don’t like – a few hundred dollars short and without a date on the important Valentine night date.
