You Would Never Have Thought That GetItOn.com is a Scam!

Everyone would like to find a guilt-free place for NSA sex online and GetitOn.com claims that you have just landed on one. It also introduces the words hot romance, mystery, and nudity, as well as some super sexy photos to get you horny enough to last a week.

It seems that more than one person has thought that these statements are true because GetitOn.com is a target for varied online reviews, most of them poor. Instead of following the poor leads, we made a track of our own but in the end – we ended up at the same deceptive place. GetitOn.com? Sure, if you want to end up in bankruptcy or at least credit card annulment.

Authenticity

There is something else that is very typical about GetitOn and it doesn’t have anything to do with the rip-off prices for the services, especially those on the iTunes application, where it becomes instantly clear that nothing is for free on this site unless you consider staring at the same old pics of possible members all the time. This is yet another domain associated to the Adult Friend Finder network and will use several similar fraudulent methods, such as unverified members photos, icebreakers, and unwarranted policy changes. The site recognizes the ways is uses to hook members into paying for an upgrade, but it seems that not many users pay attention to that, particularly having in mind that it still exists without any consequences.

Why is GetitOn.com an Illegitimate Dating Service

Let us elaborate the ways in which GetitOn.com, an AFF network subsidiary works its ways around genuine memberships and sells way more services than needed:

  • Get it On sells ridiculously expensive separate services on iTunes app.

The application for your iPhone charges a distinct fee for a variety of services – for example, you will have to pay between $12 and $22 for profile highlights, messaging and alike, each of the activities costing dozens of dollars. When there are so many applications that offer free hookups, why would anyone want to pay so much for the same thing? This is a fact that speaks in favor of the rip-off tactic of Get in On and which makes it very unpopular.

  • Icebreakers are applied by computer-generated content to activate users.

This procedure is standard – create some virtual profiles and give them the task to send winks, likes and messages, send offers, ask for feedback, initiate conversations, sell bonus services and so forth. Here, on GetitOn.com, these fabricated bots and messengers are called Ice Breakers or Cupid Reports and will only serve to entice you to go for that super-expensive upgrade.

  • GetitOn.com uses insecure cookie collection procedures called Pixel Tags.

You may have already heard about cookies and how much of a pain they can be when they are used to track your surfing activity. This fake website uses an additional technique called pixel tags. Here is how that works – straight out from the site docs: “We may also use standard Internet technology, such as web beacons or 1×1 “gifs” and other similar technologies (collectively “Pixel Tags”). A Pixel Tag is an electronic image, often a single pixel (1×1), that is ordinarily not visible to Members and may be associated with cookies on the Members’ storage drives. We use Pixel Tags to track your use of the FFN Websites, for advertising, marketing, or promotional purposes, and to determine whether you opened an email message from us. The information also enables us to customize the services we offer.”

  • Privacy revisions are made without warnings.

Yet again, this is another dishonest service that does not inform the users of the privacy policy changes in advance, but does it arbitrarily: “We reserve our right, in our sole and absolute discretion, to revise, amend, modify or revoke this Privacy Policy at any time, and in any manner to the fullest extent permitted by law. If the changes are significant, we will provide a more prominent notice. Changes to this Policy will be effective by posting revisions on the FFN Websites”.

  • GetitOn.com admits that it uses unverified photos.

Accordingly, our review confirmed the fact by browsing the member directory and by using the Google reverse image search tool to find out more about the photos. Here is a revelation concerning one of the member photos. The first image is from Get it On:

And the second is from around the web. I think we can all agree that the same person, a famous celebrity with a different name is not the strongest proof of a site’s credibility:

Price Tag

Basic memberships on the desktop site:

  • $107.10 for a 12-month + 6-month free membership
  • $39.80 for a three-month + one-month free membership
  • $18.95 for a one-month membership

Extra iTunes app costs:

  • Standard contact: between $17.99 and $32.99
  • Member highlight: between $22.99 and $54.99

Busted or Trusted

It is not recommended to try your luck on GetitOn.com when there are so many secure sites around the web that promise ultimate fun and hot meetings without the hassle of endangered privacy or having to keep a constant eye on your iTunes budget to avoid getting ripped off. It is not that you are going to sit in front of your computer hoping to get a date. Actually, most people use their phones to communicate and with these fees, you are heading straight for a bank overdraft.

I would not recommend getting on on any of the AFF partners, they cost me a fortune, and I didn’t get anywhere!

I knew that iTunes is a robbery but I didn’t think they went so far. I am thinking of returning to Tinder. Any thoughts?

Tinder has many advantages for the mainstream daters, so if you think you are one of them – be our guest. However, if you in for a real experience, choose something modern, better. There are plenty of choices here!
